What's the EASIEST way to turn off the cameras in Bangkok when it's on Freelancer High Alert or Master difficulty?
By that I mean the security system, not shooting the cameras.

Get a guard uni. Grab the master key card from the basement laundry or the room being cleaned across from the 2nd floor security office and wait for good timing to go in and shut it off.

Or try the security office out back by the tuk tuk.

I didn't even know there was a security system at the tuk tuk!

The one in Master mode on the 2nd floor has too many enforcers around. I'll check the other one.

you can throw an remote EMP charge on it and detonate it safely. you can also have an guard pick it up (the one which stands in front of the security system) and just detonate it once he stands in front of it.

There's no security camera system to sabotage in the back security room. Just an office with a laptop and notes to read.

I'll give this or the other suggestion a shot.

I figured it out. I waited until the woman hotel staff left the room to open the door. I stood in the open doorway with my back facing the security room and my front facing the hallway so the enforcer wouldn't see me. Then I was able to get in and disable the security system easily.

Wait at the double door near the staircase, a female staff will open that door eventually. Hit space to huddle up to the nearby table and then just shoot the security system, holster your gun and leave the way you came quickly. There is also a master keycard in this room and within a nearby room with more female staff. This is SASO friendly.

Not many players seem to know you can just shoot the camera controls to disable them and it is usually pretty safe and quiet. Silenced Pistol is super OP and solves a lot of problems. I only recommend sneaking to it or using an EMP if you have a no firearms challenge.

This one thing is always a pain. I usually just sacrifice a slot for the Remote EMP. If not, the other rather convoluted method I have is to explode a Fire Extinguisher outside the guard cabin. Then I sneak around them to delete the footage. Not very reliable TBH

For my SASO I simply avoided the cameras instead

People keep talking about the guard cabin in the back? Where is the security system there? My game doesn't have one in there unless I just don't know where to look.

Can someone screenshot that for me? I've looked everywhere.

I don't think there's a security system there. Either there never was or it was rmeoved. I'm not sure.

Hitmaps doesn't show any either. I'll check later.

I was going to comment on that myself but figured maybe I just don't know where it is. I HATE this map largely because of the security room and the whole treatment of that party side of the hotel. When I have no choice but to Bangkok, I just accept it will not be a good run. Hit em up, GTFO. Take my $365 payout for straight up murdering whatever was in my way.

I do the same thing in Marrakesh if it spawns me in the school. I go right into F-you game devs who thought this was a good idea. How's about I just kill everything in sight and leave out the first exit I find?

Seriously though, if there is a second security room in Bangkok, it would be helpful to know where it is.

There wasn't one there during an elusive target at some point?
I have gone there a couple of times in the past thinking there was one there before, only to find there isn't.

Although that could just be me, I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed according to my partner. :spaz2insane:

The best approach is to go to the main one from the East, the stairs side. When the staff lady opens the door, go behind there. Even if there's 3-4 guards, you can get a peek and shoot the system. I'm used to it now!

You can shoot the security system? Man that changes everything! Can't believe I never tried that.

I used to sneak right in and do it without shooting (think I saw this off of a Youtuber), only in the new mode (think it was on high alert) they had a camera in the room pointing at the recorder that I did not notice lol.

I also hate that room from an elusive target when there was a safe in there... I used a breach charge on it only I forgot to step back a little bit before detonation... as I said, not the sharpest tool lol.
