Edit: To be clear about what I'm referring to for those who don't know, since the WOA update people like me have been unable to transfer our Hitman 2 DLC maps to Hitman 3 as has been possible up until now. We assumed this was some kind of mistake, but IOI has finally announced officially (well, "announced"... they updated the pinned post here about location carryover) that that is no longer available in any form, so if you didn't purchase Hitman 3 and do the carryover before the update you're now S.O.L. and need to buy the same content again.

I have already paid for your product, and you *told me*, and others like me, explicitly, that "we don’t want to force anyone to (re)buy what they already own."

You didn't even bother to change that line in the pinned post that you have now updated, *2 weeks after the WOA update*, to say just a few lines below that you do, in fact, want to force us to re-buy what we already own. Or just force us to download a whole other game (what is it, 90 GB? Maybe 80 if you exclude some other optional content?) to play those *two levels* that we OBVIOUSLY OWN (not to mention that it will be separate from H3 progression). Yep, sounds like "player-friendly flexibility" and "streamlined" and "no more confusion" to me. Way to stick to the mission statement.

This isn't some obscure edge case, this is a very obvious group of customers that you should have expected and supported. You went through this big re-brand to World of Assassination to generate a bunch of press and bring excited players back, but now that those players are purchasing the game after hearing about how good the update is you're stabbing them in the back and shaking us down for a few more bucks?

Just... why? Why burn that good will? So you can squeeze a few extra bucks out of the small percentage of players who own the Hitman 2 DLC and would have been returning for Hitman 3 after hearing the news?

Seriously. The location import system already existed. I imagine there were probably some small changes related to how things were packed together for WOA, but the actual upkeep on the tool *cannot* have been that high. Or maybe there is some reason it had to go, but it's not like we'd know because you haven't been transparent about it *at all*. I own all of the content. It's all on my Steam account. It's all registered on my IOI account. Why are you refusing to just acknowledge that and let me play everything I've ALREADY PAID FOR in your own so-called all-in-one package?

I just got an email asking me to rate the support I received for the support ticket I opened about this. If anyone else gets that, I'd strongly encourage you to say you're unsatisfied and fill in the comment box (but you should probably make sure to choose the "I was happy with the agent but unsatisfied with other stuff" option unless your contact was clearly unsupportive on their own -- for the most part I'm sure the support team is just saying what they've been told to say).

Aside from opening the tickets initially, this is one of the clearest opportunities we've had to submit feedback directly to IOI, which *somebody* is going to have to read. Be detailed. Be rational. Be reasonably civil (though you can and should be clear that you're upset).

@TommyEV: Yes, it has disappeared. I have the problem for H1 destinations transfer for H2 since the WoA update. Only if you already transferred it before, it was still working. I kind of understand that things like this are not being supported forever/anymore, but there wasn't sufficient notification to the customers about this in my opinion. I didn't get any announcement for Hitman 2 for example.

I've been playing H2 since February 1 and I don't have any of H1 destinations in the game despite owning full editions of both games since 2020, are you sure *you* aren't the one who doesn't know what they are talking about?

IOI this is completely unacceptable. Literally 2 weeks after WOA, your support pages were still saying that you could do the transfer over still. You can’t update your article today and toss in a date from 2 weeks ago to make it seem like it was the policy the whole time. People bought these DLCs with the knowledge that it would be able to be upgraded when they moved to hitman 3.

I thought about that, not sure how that sort of thing happens. I doubt there's enough people affected/enough of a reaction for it to be picked up organically, just some posts here and a couple of moderately popular posts that made it to the front page of the subreddit and have already faded.

Yeah, looks like subreddit is too busy jerking off to Freelancer which is disappointing, considering IOI's history with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people over, and that the sub seemed to be somewhat vocal about it in the past
