Eliminate during Tell - a feature or a bug?

I have tried to complete the 'Eliminate leader during tell' objective, thinking that it will be easy, given that she was a Foodie. However, poisoning her with food failed the objective. Is that intended or a bug?

poisoning her food would cause her to die after revealing her tell I imagine, you'd have to shoot her or something that doesn't interrupt her

They don't die during the tell if you poison them, the poison interrupts the tell and they die afterwards

I just have it for the first time right now, but I suspect you gotta kill them while their tell sign is active above their head

Yeah, the game is picky like that. Also, if you get the silent assassin with no guns challenge, you cannot even pick up a gun or you will fail. So lure and subdue in a safe place or someone's routine will be disturbed by the whole process of someone noticing a gun on the ground.

Live and learn I suppose. The game doesn't get so literal on every challenge. Not being seen on camera allows you to be seen, but you will fail if you don't destroy the video. Might be nice if someone composed a list of all these nuances.

This is false, you can carry a gun, you just can't shoot one
