literally unplayable

game crashes constantly 3 crashes just today(played for about 30m).
2 hours of tinkering with options to get it to run at half the framerate maxed out cyberpunk runs at aswell. is it a known issue, is the optimization trash or am i just unlucky or something? few days ago on first launch managed to play a few hours no problem, no its flat out impossible(ofcourse cant get a refund anymore)

Funny but I have the same. The game began to crash more often and work worse, when I played half a year ago from a laptop, the game worked better.

There is a suspicion that this is due to the latest updates.

I have an issue with vram consumption since the last update, I have a 3060Ti and after a few minutes I go from 4GB to 8GB and the game start stuttering and then freeze.

First few days have been fine for me, yesterday there was one or two crashes in specific locations of specific maps, today I'm constantly crashing all over the place in different maps on a 4090... Annoying as hell, can't even refund since, like I said, first few days were fine.

Iv had crashes after completing missions, i usually dont lose any progress but yes it does crash a lot, 2080Ti everything on High, runs fine in game very high and stable framerate, aside from the occasional CTD. its usually after completing a mission and eliminating a syndicate leader, the game loads me in the safe house in front of a reward crate. Its clearly a common bug issue, it just happens too often not to be.

I also have random crashes. Normaly my system is very stable, but not with Hitman in the current version. After some time, sometimes around 30-40 min the game freeze, then back to desktop. Now i played the story and my save is broken in marakesch. I load it, and when i go the market the game crash. In Freelancer its a little bit better, my longest run there without problems is around five hours. My drivers are all up to date.

I have had more frequent crashes since the Freelancer update, and I heard some people experienced memory leaks.

I'm just playing at the lowest setting atm, to avoid crashes, on the first few days it crashed a lot.

There is a known memory leak that has been plaguing a lot of players with RTX 3080 and 4080 cards. I've had the same problem as above. Been playing Hitman 1 for the last 5 years, Hitman 2 for the last 3, and Hitman 3 since it released on Steam. Never had crashes, but this last update with the Freelancer mode is causing the games fps to drop to the single digits after about 40 mins of playing before it crashes to the desktop.

Memtest, GPUtest, verifying game files, reinstalled Hitman, turned down graphic options, ... still searching...

EDIT: fully reinstalled Nvidia driver 528.02 -> same crash

EDIT2: capped framerate at 60 fps max for hitman.exe application -> crossing fingers...

I'm actually pissed off right now, because of this memory leak as I can't play for a solid hour without having to Alt-F4 and restart. If i'm in the middle of a mission and this memory leak starts, I've got to just cut and run.

Knowing IO as well, it's going to be at least MARCH till we probably see an update, and whether that fixes it or not, is anyones guess.

I also have crashes, at first none, but then again. The bad thing is that the mission is then considered failed and everything is gone!

If it is a memory leak, then i'm glad i have 64gb of ram, clearly doing the job. I play slowly, takes me more than 2 hours to do some missions and it doesn't crash.

It shouldn't fail you on a crash, at least it hasn't for me, including Hardcore
