I got caught getting out of the morgue bed in Hokkaido and lost right after I started. Is there a certain timing for that?

Wait until they aren't looking?
that's cause there's a morgue doctor looking right at the bed as soon as it starts, just wait till he moves to the other side to get out.

0. Choose a collateral- or specific weapon-kill prestige objective

1. Bring a large, visible, non-silenced firearm of your choice for more firepower and a blunt briefcase for throwing at your target.

2. Wait until the doctor examining the corpse walks around the table, so he sees you when you get up. No chance getting out of there without being spotted!!!

Bonus: On master mode, there will even be a bodyguard right behind you, just don't wait too long, or he will be gone!!!!

3. Don't stop now, immediately knock out the bodyguard with your briefcase, and run down the stairs into the staff area.

4. Head into the room with the showers, and enter the toilet close by.

5. Get ready for a crazy gunfight!! Shoot everyone with your firearm out of your cover next to the door. If you see an armed target approach your location, throw your briefcase at it - it will come in handy later! (the target) Clear out the whole map of guards, don't be shy!

6. Set up the body of your target and go for your Prestige Objective! (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ

Sincerly,

Players new to the game should not even try to play freelancer because of lack of basic game knowledge.

Multiple bad faith posts in here which I typically block.

They were both looking down at the bed they're operating on, which in other cases is fine. The entire trilogy has some pretty unique cones of view, coupled with exceptionally varying hearing distances. For example opening the bank vault is rarely seen even at mid length distances, but dragging someone around in a Haven Island hut is often seen from long range even considering both doors closed.

Some guards have great peripherals or turning heads, others seem to have horse blinders.

Some guards can hear a choke or knock out at 8 feet through a closed door and be immediately investigated, others can't hear one at point blank.

Some targets care about their bodyguards, others pretend they never had one the second it's taken down.

You can sometimes move full speed through brush, other times if you go anything faster than the slowest speed you'll be seen and followed.

Sometimes a perfect shot on camera causes investigation, sometimes the enemy just stands there.

Some guards who look at their phones have peripheral vision, others don't.

Some guards immediately hit you for trespassing, others give you a small leeway to turn around.

I'll repeat myself, the entire trilogy is filled to the brim with this stuff.

Everything is a case by case basis, and considering the nature of item and money loss in Freelancer, I prefer to ask human beings who are already here looking to help, rather than reloads, trial and error, and wasting my adult time.

If you are too salty about life to answer, maybe go see someone about that.

Well if you know the game so well then you shouldn't have any problem getting off of a bed without dying.

Or... maybe... you don't know the game as well as you think...

Yes, head turing as bug has been a thing since 2016 but it's not an excuse here because those morgue surgeons are actually very predictable and easy to avoid. Unless player is in a hurry and tried to get up before they moved and provided opportunity for player to exit.

Or maybe some things take more trial and error than I have at certain given moments.

Or maybe I want to ask the community. It's the sole reason these boards exists. To help others. I've certainly provided other people help and I don't attack anyone about gameplay questions due to the massively strange variety of enemy behavior.

Just stop. Colorado is typically my easiest map where most people everywhere seem to hate and struggle with it.

I can't know which enemies are looking down or to the side. These surgeons start by looking down. There are tons of enemies that look down and dont see forward.

If their cones of vision appeared in instinct I wouldn't even be asking. And if I had time for trial and error last night I wouldn't have asked.

Nobody needs a lecture over understsndable confusion. I've never started in the morgue before because I typically hate Hokkaido.

There is a way for every.single.spawn.

I just had that morgue spawn in Hokkaido in hardcore. 2 guards and 3 doctors. Guess what? You wait 2 seconds and both guards leave and the doctors are looking away. You get up and you leave too.

So it's a "player's issue" after all? Just because you specifically can't deal with such simple situation, it doesn't mean said situation is unfair, bad or whatnot.

I literally just explained that I don't begrudge simple questions about enemy behavior in any map because of the nature of variety of enemy behavior in both visual and audio distances and that I provide other players with help if I see questions I know the answer to. Nobody anywhere has memorized every single enemy or map. I've already seen some better hitman streamers complete entire hardcore campaigns only to fail the very first mission in the following one off an unknown for them.

It's not hard to answer these questions without snark. I failed the campaign because of it and asked a simple question. The thread is full of snarky responses from other posters.

Im not asking for Hitman to have this mind you, just pointing it out, but if anyone's ever played the Metal Gear Solid series the mini maps in those games included enemy cone of vision.

The surgeons seem to be looking down at the start. There's plenty of enemies who look down and pretend you're not climbing a wall or tresspassing right into front of them. Others immediately call someone for tresspassing.

Heck, you even have unusual bugs like the guards at the Mendoza house who let you run past as a waiter and not even attack you if you keep going which wouldn't fly anywhere else.

The snart comes from multiple people claiming there are impossible spawns when in fact there aren't. Not just you.

You can get out of this situation (you don't even need to consider them looking down, they give you a window in which they are looking away, no need to rely on that), you can escape the water towaer in alerted colorado even with 3 guards there, you can escape the NY garage with 2 guards and a camera...

Quote me where I said there were impossible spawns.

You can't. I simply asked how to do it.

Therefore the snark is fully unwarranted.

I already know how to do the others.

Did you look at my username when you mentioned Colorado and New York? You didn't because if you did you'd know I didn't ask about those and I posted those solutions in the other recent thread.

Why did you mention Colorado and New York regarding me?

This thread was me asking about Hokkaido.

There's a difference between asking a question and pooping on a game. But being mad is understandable. It happens to all of us.

You know who's annoying on these boards? The guy who keeps saying freelancer is cod and won't stop. And also the people who live here and can't ignore some of the more popular questions.

If mods wanted to reduce clutter, they'd sticky some stuff, like freelancer spawn solutions, freelancer tips and tricks etc.

I linked to a reddit thread chock full of freelancer tips and tricks in my post history. It would cut down on a lot of threads.

It's be helpful if this was stickied, imagine how much less repeated questions there would be if this was stickied:
