FREELANCER: There's money in the vault in New York

If you get the chance to go to New York for one of your targets, take it and make sure to pop open the vault before you leave and open the original map objective, last time I did it I got like 5,000 currency from it.

It's random, I got 3k from the coins in the corner and 7k from the main server, so 10k this trip.

So what? It's still a higher payout than almost anything else you can be doing.

Its 3 small Merces Payouts (the ones you can find in the stashes lying around), and definitely worth going for - it is basically a free mission payout on top of your current one, you don't have even have to detour for it if you start at the bank robber entry.

New York also has Couriers that are pretty easy to get, one moves close past the toilets, and another one secludes themselves in a seperated room on the upper floors.

In short - New York is goated. (always has been)

It's 3 small and 1 large, you pull the central computer too, if you're only picking up the 3 you're skipping the big one

Yeah I just saw your answer after writing mine, even without the server it would be worth it, though - but i'll definitely take the core next time, now that I know.

No, you're not taking a core, you're just hacking it or something and leaving it there

I've done it a couple of times and it's been roughtly 10k both times. 7 + 3x1, as you have mentioned before.

My best haul from the bank was a bit over 22k

4k from a regular safe, 6k from the mission, 1k from a courier and 11k from the vault.

Did they change up the vault from the normal level, and is there a non-tedious way to do the redesign that I didn't see?

What's tedious about it? You knock out a couple of guards and loot the vault, there's literally a chloroform bottle next to the room that you just dump in the air condition and you're done

If chloroform still works then maybe I just got unlucky when I did it, thanks.

*edit* Just tested it out and no issues. Not sure what went wrong last time I tried.
