You can do this in the reviews for Hitman 1 and 2. You can revise a old review you made. You can still praise a game and demonize a practice.

They must have lawyers with years of experience thinking this scam out way ahead of time. Possibly before the thought of the NEWER Hitman franchise ever hitting the stores. Funny isn't it. Let's be real here, anyone who engage with this discussion is a fan of Hitman in some way. Nobody here hates the game or the work iO has made, at least before the changes of WoA. It's not like they don't want to buy the game. In fact they want to buy it but the idea of getting tricked by some business practice is just not a good feeling. I am sure you would have some similar experience when shopping in other places.

And these days that $10 or regional equivalency they potentially think they could be out from buying the game now from the perspective of H3 being increased vs. H Trilogy being reduced by $30-$60, the value of H1 GOTY & H2 standard access packs being nulled, might be the difference of whether or not they get a cheeseburger today.

Well the reviews are still visible if you somehow find a link to the store pages; they weren't deleted, they just won't show up in a search, but you can still access them from the Steam client, or via external links.

But given that they're hidden from the general public, they have no reason to care about those reviews anymore.

(And honestly, it's not right to reviewbomb their other titles over this mess.)

Just bought world of assasin (or something like thatà all locations are opened up without the deluxe dlc, onl thing i bought extra was 7 deadly sins. I already own hitman 2 with all it's dlc's.

It's not so much the 10 bucks as it is the "principle" of the whole fiasco.

They knew what they were doing from the start. Which has been the reason since Hitman 1 for the convoluted mess in their sales technique to purchase DLC. Intentionally confusing the public to the point that people have even resorted to writing manuals here on Steam trying to explain what you get with every buy. Just a pathetic attempt to confuse the customer into paying for the same products over and over.

Like I said, it's just the principle of the whole sham that pisses me off.

This is precisely what we're asking for, yes. The thing is that they didn't mention a complete-the-set option for the standard edition in that article, so people were expecting H3 to be available standalone, somehow, after WOA came out, and as we've all seen that is not the case. IOI hasn't provided any explanation of how they plan to honor this claim since the change happened. Most of the arguing in this forum is because there's a contingent of illiterate fans attacking anyone asking about this as being entitled and ungrateful, when IOI themselves said it first.

The pessimistic interpretation, of course, is that the lack of clarity is intentional and that they have no intent on following through.

The "You don't have to pay again for what you own" shtick is talking about H3 owners who don't own every DLC, and not about H1/H2 owners without H3 base game, because those people don't exist, apparently.

I would like to say that if the WoA pack ever becomes cheaper than 20€ (cheaper than Hitman 3 standard ever was) then I wouldn't complain about this pack. Even though I own everything that is H1 and H2, I wouldn't consider that a rip-off in that case.

You know right away when a company makes buying a GAME that complex to the point you need manuals and "How to Guides" with arrow charts that they could careless about the user base and gaming as a whole. Their entire model is to confuse you and to make you feel "left out" so you'll cough up as much cash as possible. Then you'll get flooded in with more DLC to open up that wallet even wider. Some of these companies even reach out to psychologists on how to set up their "models" to get the most shareholder return. It is no surprise to many of us, and non-gamers have been running these companies for awhile now.
