Does anyone else get this ridiculously bright blinding light bug?
Randomly in certain spots or corners of a level there will be this bright blinding white light that blocks the entire screen when looking at a certain spot. It's similar to that lens flare effect you see in most games but cranked up by like 1000% it's horrible. It seems like it's some post-processing effect bug but there's no option to even turn off post-processing effects in the graphics option. Is IOI ever gonna address this or is there some way to fix it?

Here's what it looks like. In this case it does it when I'm aiming a weapon but other times it'll show by just looking in the direction the flare's coming from

Restarting the game temporarily fixes the issue on the map you play. The bug sometimes dissapear with a patch but pretty much always shows up again with the next patch. In the end its annoying but we can't do much.
yeah it just showed up one day for me and does it randomly now. Its the worst when you're on missions where you can't save. Restarting the game usually fixes it like Big Chungus over here said

Try changing your V-Sync settings. I had some FX issues a while back and turning V-Sync on and the V-Sync interval to 2 fixed them.

I get it but to a lesser extent, on some legacy maps. It's not as bad as your screen shots but do get a weird lens flare effect from some lights and reflective objects in a few maps that are blinding. It happens on my RTX 3080ti and not on my RX 6900xt system. Seems like an Nvidia graphics card problem for me at least. What graphics cards are you guys using, what upscaling method, and are you using any of the ray traced reflections and shadows settings?

I started having issues with this as well. I have a GTX 1080 TI.

For anyone still having this issue turn all graphic settings relating to mirrors to off. It seems to stem from some reflective or shiny object (but not mirrors) that would normally reflect some light to actually just turn into the nuclear sun. An example of what I mean is something made of metal that obviously has a "reflective" trait added to it, like a metal light pole or something.

This didn't work for me. I put both reflection and mirror settings to off and still get on Studio 27 lights that shine like surface of a star.

I've been having this issue since day one, doesn't matter what settings I change it still happens

Yeah for me that solution wasn't really a "solution", it just helped to reduce it.

I have exactly the same glitch. It doesn't happen often enough to make gameplay impossible, but often enough to be annoying as hell. I've looked online, and apparently it's been a problem for a long time. Hopefully that V-Sync fix works for me...

i had this in hawke's bay map.
I had this happen for the first time the other day when I unlocked the Neon Ninja Suit. You can't see your character at all when wearing it.
