Agent 47s barcode grew back?
Didn't he cut it off in absolution?

Did he get a sticker of a barcode and slap it on his baldhead

It is a reboot.

Not really a reboot since the opera house contract in Blood Money is mentioned in one of the hitman 1 levels along other contracts 47 had.

Hitman 2016 continuitity is loose at best. It ackowladges previous games but I wouldnt think about it too hard. Then again it's own continuity is shaky... How old is 47 exactly to be able to assasinate Diana's parents? Is 47 a Witcher?

He doesn't need to be that much older than her, honestly. Agent 47 is a genetically crafted super soldier--a literal test tube baby, who was designed to have better health and stamina than any normal human being. In fact, if you wander around the secret spa location in Japan and look for a file the doctors there wrote on him, they are hoping to keep him as long as they can for study because he's basically a walking bag of stem cells. Chances are Agent 47 is much older than he looks, but also since he was born and bred for assassination he could have been a teenager when he set off the car bomb that killed Diana's parents. Teens tend to look like adults after a certain age.

Agent 47 was born at 1964. In fact, before HITMAN his barcode used to be numbered too (something upset me about HITMAN 1-3), so below his barcode used to be written "640509-040147", where its first 6 digits are his date of birth, "04" marks he is part of Series IV, "01" marks that he is the first of his series, and "47" is to represent that he is the 47th clone overall (and Agent 47 does have a 47th cromossome in his genetic code, which makes him genetically superior to us).

As for OP, we can assume his self-wound simply regenerated and he abandoned that ridiculous atitude of hiding his barcode.

I think absolution is set much later on as he looks far older in that game.

He didn't cut off the barcode in Absolution, he cut out a tracking chip that the ICA had placed behind it. The barcode was still there at the end of the game. That aside, the World of Assassination Trilogy wants to keep Absolution at arms reach, with only slight references to it - which is a bit of a shame because wrapping up stuff like Birdie casually would have been nice.

Victoria should have came back and hired 47 to kill her boyfriend, imo
And 47 should have a mission to kill Birdie for betraying him to the police at the end of the game (The after-credits scene has Birdie selling 47's identity to the cops)

HITMAN is set 6-7 years after the events of Hitman Absolution so I assume it was long enough for all these characters being "dealt with", you know.

WRONG, because HITMAN IO Interactive deliberately decided to make 47 younger with a "timeless" look. IOI also got rid of the numerous scars that 47 had back in Hitman Absolution too to reinforce that. My only issue with that redesign is IOI did not keep 47's face consistent throughout the HITMAN Trilogy (his face in HITMAN 2 was my favorite).

It's a Hitman from Walmart - needed a new barcode to hijack the price of purchase
