The only issue is between the keyboard and the chair I guess. :D
The overwatch is fine and perfectly functional. What is your problem with it ?
I think it is probably the easiest type of mission once you know what to do. You only need to kill the target, then evac. With fast ranged guys it is often a (short) walk in the park. With good setup and a bit of luck you can even evac before the first reinforcement arrive.

You need to learn the game...I through it was hard at the first time, than I paid more attention to the mechanics and it was easy, just need to ambush more, and use consumables. I was able to do this mission with 2 characters
maybe its depends on setup but i use 3 bow user alchemist > beast master > archer as starter pack with upgraded bow at start and 1 mele dude with halberd or 2h sword for aoe dmg , start fight with overwatch attack and than just kill all of enemies
Game's unbalanced, that's a fact.
Difficulty is artificial and based on "10 millions health point and 2 thousands enemies".
You can't released a game in this state and pretend it's finished.
I know it's nacon, the devs didn't have any money because of these crooks, but come on ... normal is harder than hard and also easier than normal. Read that and tell me it makes sense. :(
Would you mind to tell us what is so broken and unbalanced for you, and the "fact" espescially ? :)
Starting out was a little rough due to, no guide. In the 1990-2000's or so, given I bought a game like this, I may have been combing through the manual or strategy guide. Usually, there is some sort of guide in the steam guide section. There was no guide, and the game took a little bit to get used to. Once you get the flow of it, it is not too bad.
The tutorial didn't do a great job in walking you through some of the strategies and different types of thinking you may need for this game rather than other games in the genre.
I have been starting battles with my alchemist throwing pitch, and then lighting the enemy on fire. DOT's resolve at the beginning of the turn, so if you stalk them, you can almost ignore an enemy and allow them to tick.
Having weapons, like maces, that break armor or ignore armor is worthwhile.
