Whats the strategy depth of this game?
As far as I see, first we have some repeating grinding missions with time running.
What if we'll develop not fast enough? Or we can grind as long as we want before future key missions?

Asked for refund. I have a feeling that the gameplay won't be more intresting further on.

Main story missions don't have time limits. Only the random ones time out.
Which means you can grind as long as you want. Its listed on each mission.

Too early for me to comment on strategy depth yet.

The strategy depth to mid-game is fair. Works like a pyramid.

Get enough resources to research inventory and unlock consumables. Hire more soldiers, Keep training them to the reqd level for the current act.

Then upgrade buildings so they can research and produce better inv and consumables. + make all buildings more efficient.

When all buildings are at the next level they upgrade the castle which gives better bonuses like +1 soldier in your parties.

And how exactly you can actually loose?

Lose in what sense?

Fail the main story missions I guess. Which is likely game over with ironman mode saving enabled. Otherwise you get a chance to replay. You can fail missions and lose soldier (eventually). So I guess its quite forgiving in that sense.

There does seem to be a fail state. I have just gotten to chapter 3 and they have a new "doom counter" by the looks of it. Though you are still free to grind and like XCOM, you can do a purge mission to clear it(I think. The tutorial says as much)
