Is it just me, or are the keybinds...weird?

forward: Z
back: S
left: Q
right: D
rotate left: A
rotate Right: E

ok, so move right is correct, and rotate right. But why is "left" and rotate left switched? And 'back' is Z ?

Oh it gets weirder:

These are just some of the examples. Like...WHAT the heck?
I'm not using some weird keyboard layout or anything, besides of the thousands of games I've played, this is literally the first time I've seen keybindings THIS weird.
Something wrong with my game, or anyone else having weird "Default" keybinds too?

and yes yes, I can change the keybinds myself...that's not the issue here though.

Binding W to forward also initiates overwatch (and moves the camera forard) with no apparent way to fix this.

Yeah I guess its still mapped to the French keyboard layout. You need to change it in Windows.

In all my years of playing pc games i have never seen such a weird layout for keybinds.

yeah..overwatch is a problem at the moment....need way to rebind it not on W key ffs. messing up my movement constantly

Yeah the left move/left rotate being swapped was particularly nonsensical.

I'm about to return the game until this gets fixed. Rebinding keys is a basic QOL function ffs.

It's clear, that the devs didn't care at all to deliver a good product.

Funny to see people that dont know what tthe AZERTY keyboard is.
How about you just alt+♥♥♥♥ to change your keyboard? it's not sometthing that take much effort.

This is not weird keyboard this Azerty keyboard.

Most games, being made by American / English, use Qwerty layout by default which is a pain for us Azerty users, especially as even recent or modern games do not allow remapping (those games I refund as well).

Fallout 4, for example, has hard coded Z key. Imagine not being able to remap W ?

I'm honestly pleased that for once the problem is reversed.

Hi everyone,

We had an issue at launch with the keybinding for witch we did a hot fix that was applied about a couple hours later.

Indeed the game by default was set for AZERTY keyboard (french keyboard) but we never intended to keep it that way as we do know QWERTY are more used in general. Hopefully you can know change your setting as you see fit but please let us know if you still have issue with the keybinding.
