It's clear, that the devs didn't care at all to deliver a good product.
How about you just alt+♥♥♥♥ to change your keyboard? it's not sometthing that take much effort.
Most games, being made by American / English, use Qwerty layout by default which is a pain for us Azerty users, especially as even recent or modern games do not allow remapping (those games I refund as well).
Fallout 4, for example, has hard coded Z key. Imagine not being able to remap W ?
I'm honestly pleased that for once the problem is reversed.
We had an issue at launch with the keybinding for witch we did a hot fix that was applied about a couple hours later.
Indeed the game by default was set for AZERTY keyboard (french keyboard) but we never intended to keep it that way as we do know QWERTY are more used in general. Hopefully you can know change your setting as you see fit but please let us know if you still have issue with the keybinding.
