I'm missing one rune and five chests. Spoilers

I've completed the Heroic Trials and I've completed the game. If you had to pick five chests someone would miss that I may have missed, let me know. One of them probably contains the rune.

I've bought from every shop in the end-game.

I have every other achievement.

I know about the chest in the Rune Lab behind the wall in the middle.

I know about the chest in the Seaside Caverns where the Kraken was.

I know about the chest at the end of the Ice Cavern.

I have all the Old Books.

I have all the runeshards.

I have the chest at the back of the place where you recruit the cow dude with all the dragons. The one that's all the way at the end and hidden in a corner.

I have the Gazpacho recipe and I even checked the Greatwood fight and see it with the open chest.

Did you grab the second rune from the Sayid by hot springs the second time after you beat the game

Honestly, I'm not sure what you're referring to so that's probably it. Where is it? I am not understanding your reference points.

Yeah, he gives you 2 runes one before the end of the game as long as you find him in all locations. then one after you beat the game

It is the rune of clairvoyance as his final rune gift

Yea, I got it. I didn't have to rebeat the game. I just had to talk to him at the HQ and then at Yarnaan and then again at HQ. He never showed up at Skriss Village for me.

That did get me the rune achievement.

Now I just need the 5 chests I'm missing. Thanks!

I'm missing 3 chests now, was missing 5, somehow I seem to have overlooked 2 chests in the abandon mines from when you had to go through it for the story.

Few, IIRC 2 chests that can't be seen physically because they get blocked by stone and pillar at Shandar Ridge and Rune Lens Research Laboratory.

Battle treasure chest with duplicate item like Gazpacho Recipe (The Greatwood), easy to miss (I did) because when you check the checklist, you will see you already got the recipe (although from NPC).

Battle treasure chests at Eldroad, easy to miss because there are two!

I got them. Here is my list of ones I missed.

I went through all of them. Unfortunately Castle Harganthia had two of them and it was the last place I looked.

Treasure Fight in Proving Grounds - Spiked Armor

Treasure Fight in Shadar Ridge - Anti-poison Scarf

Rune-Lens Research Laboratory - Rune of Swift Speed
This is not the one most people refer to when they say it's hidden. There are two hidden chests in this location.

Castle Harganthia in the Grass - Shoes of Flight

Castle Harganthia - Ruby Bangle

Anybody knows where the Battle Chest in Castle Harganthia spawns? I haven't seen it anywhere...

I found it in the spiral staircase room very near the end of the castle that's accessed by taking the stairs up from the room with the vertically spinning cogs.

the one dungeon with all the dragon enemies also has a treasure chest in the end of the dungeon were you fought the boss

Just in case: some of those might actually just be in shops. Apparently some runes are unique to certain towns' shops, and despite you upgrading YOUR rune shop to be "the best in the world," it doesn't stock all of them.

Eltisweiss, for example, will carry the Rune of the Firefly and Rune of Obscured Sight, two runes your shop won't carry.

I think, at least in the case of Firefly, you'll get that in the pursuit of getting all the chests. Pretty sure you get obscured sight somewhere else too.

If you buy all the runes from every shop, including your own, beat the Heroic Trials (Not Endless) and do the one guy mentioned in the post I marked as the answer, you'll have all the runes.
