what sets troops battle strength

I have recruited 119 of the 120 trying to do the last mock battle #5 i noticed every video you find shows troops with 110+ all my troops are 90 to 100 i have the best gear i can get fully leveled and sharpened every ones weapons what else can power them up? or is there a set rune type that makes them stronger?

Talk to Iris with a Lv. 3 & 4 HQ, it's one of the development plan upgrades for more HP during war battles: War Troop Boost 1 & 2 respectively.
You'll need Orichalcum from Vilashnu for War Troop Boost 1 and Anc. Dragon Tooth from Beast Busters! (Gocteau Guild Mission) to upgrade them. For guild mission teams,

• Beast Busters! + Barnard (Leader), Enoe, Fume, Larla = Ancient Dragon Tooth
  
• Seek out rare foodstuffs! / Patrol eastern trade route! + Dalton (Leader), Sabine, Galladur, Durlan = Sacred Tree Chip or Orichalcum
  
• Gather theatergoers! + Jorhan (Leader), Reid, Prunella, Isha = Orichalcum & Sacred Tree Chip
