Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Personal recommendation of the machine translation patch.
As someone who found the original translation horrible, I found a machine translation patch that you can find in this discussion and it is so much better that it isn't even funny. I honestly don't understand why people defend this horrible translation.

And frankly, as far as complaining about memes? All I have to say anymore is "grow up".

"Memes" and "grow up"

Pick one.
Illiterate people who can't tell the difference between a real translation and auto-translation are just another symptom of the death of western culture.

People who think paying a person to change 'bastard' to 'farthead' are literary genuises who must be worshipped are leading that fall you speak of

This is our version of 'it's what plants crave' happening in real time

Do you do anything but Strawman? It's almost impressive how little you say actually applies to the things you respond to.

Frankly kids spitting memes on Twitter are more mature than people spending literally weeks complaining on a forum for a video game because there are a handful of lines whose content offends them.

And then you say:

So in a single post about complaining on the use of strawmans, you managed to use a strawman yourself?

Well done, speedrunning this strawman challenge

Funny telling me to grow up because i don't like memes put in place of the original script. As if putting memes where there wasn't even a joke to begin with and changing stuff out of the blue is the professional thing to do.
Working Designs' time is over, and we don't really need somebody to take their place.

Media written by machines will be the death of storytelling and creativity, regardless of whether it's fully "original" or a translation.

When translators cannot make proper translations then perhaps AI can take over their job to translate stuff to English and actually have good quality translations. Instead of being brought down to the intellectual inept translators that don't know how to do their job.

Went through every post and there is no translation patch posted? Where is the machine translation?

A certain small segment of the population has been trying to bury the thread, it's call AI Translation of Chapter 1 + Dialogue File Dump

Also Lynn's

EN Localization Edits
https://steamcommunity.com/app/1658280/discussions/0/4357871582654759273/

Difference between them is the AI one is attempting to slowly change the entire script to be more accurate over time bit by bit until it is 100% completed and Lynn's is changing the worst 50 offending lines + shown in the example threads we have to have it ready to go today

Both are playable and work well and i recommend both to everyone who wants to use them

So both are fantastic and i recommend you favourite both their threads and help keep them updated to the front page as they are salvaging the games localisation for us on who have already spent $70-$100 here and trying to make the best of it

Human just have to prove themselves better then, which so far the ones doing translation for this game haven't. You know, the greatest thing about machines is that they aren't drama queen, they don't try to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ their way out when their errors get detected, they don't go around whining, playing victim card either.

There's no way in hell an AI translation isn't complete crap,

Thankfully, Eastern culture turned to ♥♥♥♥ centuries ago, so we're always ahead LOL.

The AI translation says things like, "All your base are belong to us." Stupid machines...

Amazing that you only consider a localiser to be a source of 'storytelling and creativity' and not the original Japanese developers who created the very story the localiser is 'improvising fan-fiction' onto

Whether it was a human localiser or a machine AI who did the localisation, the original creator of the work still remains

If the localiser wants to write a story, they are free to make their own story and have it localised into other languages and see how they feel about creative liberties taken with their own story.

It went from translation -> localisation -> now listed as 'transcreation'

https://dragonbaby.com/services/

The customers want translation, and some very deliberate people in what used to be the 'translation' industry, now 'localisation' industry, seem very passionate about pushing it further away from translation into 'trans-creation' to further indemnify themselves from all the creative liberties they WANT to take with someone ELSE's work

You just need to see the way these localisers talk about their work... they outwardly describe their localisation as if its an original written master piece. They outwardly state they do "full rewrites" of Japanese scripts. These are people with average writing ability who think they are improving on the work of actual talented writers.. they are so full of themselves...
