I watched walkthrough on youtube, it seems that the game is lacking in sound effects and ambient sound.
Mute your music and go walk around town or anywhere. You hear NOTHING. No environmental noise, no footsteps, no nothing. It's very disturbing, especially the more you focus on it. So much so it's hampering me from enjoying this game, although I think the game is a significant downgrade from Suikoden 2, which IMO still plays better and has a better UI than this game.
I don't understand how this game gets released at this stage. Nobody raises this concern during testing? I looked up the previous Eiyuden game, it seems that the ambient sound is good enough.
Just put all the sounds on max to see and yeah... It's true
