The game is silent
Tried the game on gamepass for few minutes, it seems that the game is 'silent'. I mean, no footsteps sound, the town is silent, no sound opening door. Went to the forest, the forest was silent except some background music. The little enemy critters makes no sound.

It's not a total deal breaker, but it feels 'empty'. I hope the sound design can be improved.

I think its just sound problems that will get fixed soon. I played on my desktop and everything was normal. Music/SFX and Voice. But then I switched to playing on Deck and seemed to have lost the music and SFX thought the Voices where still playing normally.

For me the sound is really quiet when playing through the sound bar, i mean the sound effects are really quiet but when listening through head phones I can hear everything crystal clear. I still think its a windows setting though so im not sure if its the or not.

I watched walkthrough on youtube, it seems that the game is lacking in sound effects and ambient sound.

The game has NO ambient sound.

Mute your music and go walk around town or anywhere. You hear NOTHING. No environmental noise, no footsteps, no nothing. It's very disturbing, especially the more you focus on it. So much so it's hampering me from enjoying this game, although I think the game is a significant downgrade from Suikoden 2, which IMO still plays better and has a better UI than this game.

the weird thing is, when you enter a building there's a decent footsteps sound. I don't get why they didn't just use that one.

@Xaito: Hah. I said the very same thing out loud to myself this morning.

Same, hopefully the developers will be able to add footsteps but I'd rather have this as a bug, that means it can be fixed easily.

I don't understand how this game gets released at this stage. Nobody raises this concern during testing? I looked up the previous Eiyuden game, it seems that the ambient sound is good enough.

Damn, I didn't even notice, because I usually have a youtube video running in the background and pause that for story parts and dialogue.

Just put all the sounds on max to see and yeah... It's true
