Some chud on Twitter said The Wall Street Journal was liberal propaganda. (pejorative)
Unlike all those cuckservatives in Congress, this guy's a true chud. (positive)"

"A derogatory term for unpleasant right-wingers."
Nah, standard Twitter user. That used to communicating via text they forget how important tone is to communication.
For example, in Brazil, a few years ago, the anime Yu Yu Hakusho was dubbed into Portuguese, and the voice actors did an amazing job. They made some changes to the original script, making it even more enjoyable. The same happened with the Disney movie The Emperor's New Groove a few years later, and the changes actually improved the product, but I do not see the same happening with this game.
One weird moment was when asked for the gender of the golem. It felt totally out of place and didn't fit the tone of the scene at all. I noticed other changes too, especially in the dialogues with Francesca and Lian, which made me find these characters annoying.
I'm not saying the game is completely ruined or that I'll ask for a refund, but maybe these changes are why I'm not feeling the Suikoden vibes like I expected to.
Edit: To be honest I now realized I'm a bit annoyed with lot of characters in this game, the emotions they show in some moments are a bit over the top. I'm not sure if it's because of how the characters were written or because of the translation/localization.
As I said: anyone who played a Working Designs game. it's the same thing. Same exact thing. And they got beat up for it too but held their ground. Which is what should happen here. Don't give in to the true SJW's who just want generic, deadpan, uninteresting characters in every game.
So Japanese can't write interesting characters—they only stop being generic and deadpan when English localizers "punch up" their dialogue.
What you're implying isn't racist at all.
they are Digital Colonisers and Cultural Imperialists
Only 'they' can write a good story with their ResetEra political insults and unprofessional comments, while they post on twitter about how 'far they can get away with it' on their localisations, as some sort of competition
Had they done a professional job with the English localisation here, without the real world political insults or the unprofessional lines, the game would've sold so many more copies then it currently is being sabotaged down to due to activist localisers
The true impact of how badly they sabotaged sales hasn't been felt truly yet as most people had kickstarted the game so were already buyers before knowing this fact, but if they do not course correct and fix this bug/issue in the localisation, then the sequel will sell extremely poorly if it comes out in a similar state
It’s not a localizer’s job to “punch up.” Stop accusing your enemies as being racist when you can barely hide your own bigotry.
