Pretty disappointed on how the studio handled the physical copies shipping disaster
First of all, i'm not sure if i'm an isolated case, but, for starters i'm very disappointed with the handling of this situation, the studio promised this issue to be investigated and so far, to my knowledge, there hasn't been a response from them on social media, other than that, my physical copy still hasn't been delivered, its obvious it is not entirely the studios fault about this because a lot of people got their copies early or on time, but i gotta ask :

1) to my knowledge 3 HUBS were prepared to ship the physical copies, one for each region, why for example my copy was shipped from the US despite me being from EU ?
2) the studio made it clear that in order to quickly ship the copies to the recipients we were supposed to pay asap, but in my case, i sent the payment the same day they asked us to do so, but, the website in charge of shipping the orders seems to me sent them off at the last minute, in my case, friday of last week, so what was the point then to be quick about it ?
3) why not just copy and paste the key to the website given we were promised an "early access period" ? again, not sure if i'm an isolated case, but, that can't be if its only one website that were shipping these copies.
4) lastly, i think it's kind of ridiculous that we had to pay an additional fee for the shipping, i'm not going to be broke after this, but, after all this mess, it all adds up and leaves me with a bad after taste.

I'm just disappointed overall because i'm trying to keep a positive mind about this, but by the looks of it, i'll probably be the last individual to be getting the key despite being a KS backer, also, apologies for writing a rant here, but on social media, they sure don't comment or respond to inquiries from normal people.

I completely understand, and I'm sorry for you that it got flubbed up, especially since you should be rewarded for backing the game. I will say that ever since Kickstarter got big, new startup development teams have commonly been completely misunderstanding how important it is to have a shipping through line that they can trust.

And especially if you kickstart a game, I wouldn't order a physical copy outside of the country that the game was developed in if you expect to get it on time without extra costs if it's a new studio. New studio from another country? I don't recommend buying for a physical copy without expecting problems.

It's not your fault. I hope R&B drops Yetee.

Nah, your situation is not isolated. I payed immediately as well, despite being in CA which things typically get shipped to me quickly here, they took until Wednesday or so to finally give me a update, and even then it didn't start moving until like friday. I finally got it since I'm decently close by, but it's at the point that it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.
The physical packaging is also... how do you say, really bad. Hopefully yetee isn't used again, they're garbo.

Same, i contacted Yetee Production / the studio on Kickstarter last week asking for Digital Code to redeem here on Steam instead of needing to ship physical box all the from the US..
nada no response at all

Back then when we backed them on Day 1 , they do not have Yetee non sense, it's weird they partner with a TSHIRT company to distribute their game..
AND THEY SAID that the game will be shipped from the nearest Hub, the Dev is from Japan, me from Asia/Indonesia.. Normal person would expect the game to be shipped from Japan or Singapore, not all the way from Illinois USA

You have every right to be frustrated

Without your kickstarting backing they wouldn't of been able to pay their bills or live their life, the least you can expect from them is to deliver on whatever they openly stated they would deliver to you to encourage you to fund them in the first place

Mistreating backers is a good way to fail the studio in future products, people remember how they felt

They should've taken better care of you

Yeah that does make sense, but this has been a typical Kickstarter mistake after Doublefine. And it's not really entirely R&B's their fault, but it's still also their fault. As someone who had some experience with Kickstarter, again, misunderstanding the importance of having a trustworthy shipping through line across the world is unfortunately too common for a new studio.

Not an isolated case. Im from the Philippines and my physical copy is still in netherlands for sorting. I backed $60 and had to pay an extra $33 for shipping. Backers were supposed to get 3 days early access but I suppose I'll be playing this 7 days late instead.

that shipping hurts

You paid for the deluxe but didn't get the deluxe

The "Shipping Fee" may exclude the "Game Price in Steam",

and what you get is still a serial number in a box to active it on Steam (no physical media, excepting Switch Version).

So it might be better to just buy a new one in Steam.

1st time experience i guess ... lesson learned.

Man it's really disheartening watching this unravel.

Yeaah, the release being a mess is a understatement.

Did you make a Yetee account? You may have a code on there waiting for you.

https://yeteeproductions.com/account/login#

Use this link though because the "Yetee" one doesn't work. It's "Yeteeproductions."

But, safe internet browsing advice... Don't actually use my link. Go to it manually yourself. I didn't do anything nefarious, but I don't like telling people to click my links. It's bad practice.

I do have the account setup but there's no key other than the closed beta one.
