Identity politics?

I would like some clarification on this.

I've been told the english translation has been affected by wokeness/identity politics. If true, this will be yet another game on my ignore list.

A few years ago, the devs for River City Girls had in their game both the "English (localized)" and the "English Literal" options in the language settings.

it should be a more common practice in cases where exists localization.

I want to remind you of the posters who say there's no politics involved in the localisation. That it was just 'fun' changes.

Remember them and their gas lighting next time they post or attack you for pointing out political ideology masquerading as unprofessional work (it's both)

All you knuckleheads moaning and groaning obviously didn't live through the days where Nintendo mercilessly censored anything even potentially controversial in their games. Squaresoft/Square Enix didn't even become competent at translating their properties until around Final Fantasy IX. We don't need or want to hear your pronouncements about not playing the game. Just shut up and go back to wherever incels go.
