Why is Mio so weak

I tried giving her the accessory that moderately increases crit and the dex rune but she still gets hit most of the time and does low damage, she also hardly crits even with that accessory unlike lian who got a huge crit boost with it. Even comparing non-crits she does half of Lian's damage for a basic attack, sometimes she crits and still does less damage than Lian's non crit.

Yeah I noticed that as well the healer hits harder then her as well.

She is a late bloomer, she gets much better at the later levels.
Although some may not appreciate her as much by than, (Level 50-60+)
Especially when the choice of characters is much larger at that time.

Even later, she gets outshined by too many other characters. Yes, there's a chance she one shots something. I've never seen her do it on a boss, but I've seen it on trash.

However, there's also a chance you can do it on an entire group with one support character.

I found her damage okay but my problem with her is how fragile she is for a short range that need to be in front. I also prefer to have someone with a more reliable unique rune even if her can instant kill.

Nah, you just have to wait a bit. Mio is a monster that can swing for 3,000 damage once you get a Rune of Warrior's Pinnacle found either in the Mysterious Room or the Runebarrows Dungeon as part of CJ's recruitment quest. Just give her the Malachite Bangle or Hero's Mark to mitigate her low hp and Djikstra's cheerleading to further boost her Physical Damage.

You can do the same to all the ones outshining her before that and have better characters still.

That's the entire flaw with "Just add this..."

You can "Just add this..." to the characters already doing better.

She's a low tier character. Her damage isn't better than tankier characters that go on the front row, and she's squishier than most M range characters as well. All glass, and no cannon. Even by the time she joins you back in the middle of the game, you got plenty of characters better than Mio to put in one of your 6 slots.

Can confirm, she just one shotted a boss. Im at avg level 21 and most of my team doing avg 70+dmg. On my 3rd trun she her skill dealt a 1750 dmg to the boss and killed it. Cant complain. 😅

Ive had Mio one shot a boss, long story short, shes not a bad character.

she is not horrible, but if you want consistency then yeah get someone else. I thought I could use her with her pair (that ninja girl) and use the 1 sp skill, bit I find that every team-up attack is below average. both can regular attack for higher, which I find annoying as it takes 1 sp. It should be that every SP attack either does something that normal attack can't (like the ninjas poison or the quick slice attacking first) or do more damage respective of the sp used. think the programmers failed hard at that part of the game.

She is pretty bad for most of the game, however once at max level she becomes one of the best. The best is Leene, second is Momo, then Mio would be tied with Nowa. Her Iaido Strike has a rare quality of being a special attack that can actually crit that can lead to huge damage so leaning into it hard is the way to go.

Can't help but feel she's a deeply flawed character to have by design. If you ignore the basement so as not to grind yourself to 99, you'll be at like 60-70 when fighting last boss, at that point she's still kinda bad and only gets super good at 90+ but that's not needed, heck she's not needed in the basement either, unless someone does the endless one maybe

You can wreck most of the game with Momo, only reason Leene is slightly better is because you can make her as broken as you like.
