No it's not. What a silly statement, and completely irrelevant, given none of Suikodens' composers are involved here.
Especially considering one of the composers, Matoi Sakuraba, sounds pretty much as he always has in this very game.
Does it sound like Suikoden? No. But it sounds good. If you asked the composers who worked on this game to purposefully imitate Higashino, it probably wouldn't sound right, and maybe even sound worse by inviting unfavorable comparisons.
I didn't look at exactly who it was that composed it but now it makes sense. There are a few tracks where I've been like "wtf this sounds like Star Ocean music."
Mine too. Suikoden !&2 and Wild Arms 1&2 were my go-to JRPGs on the Playstation!
