I am really looking for a better location though because I keep running out of Iron ore.
I don't think her multiplier is that much, I think the x2 is for all the more 'dedicated' gather support, and her's is something like x1.5 since she effects all nodes.
Still wondering if there are better places besides the Abandoned Mines.
As I recall you only need roughly 16-20 iron ore to max out the 1st and 2nd tier of the castle/town. Also once you get the guild up and running they will farm these resources for you. Really no need to grind more than say 20 iron ore. Hope that saves you some time grinding.
Okay, so I guess once I have enough to fulfill the current facility requirements I wouldn't need iron ore anymore. That's great to know, because those have interrupted my progress multiple times and I just wanted to hoard a bunch of them to avoid that. Thanks!
Get the chest near him as well for another recruit.
In addition to that, if you go back up to the area transition you just left, you can go left for another one.
Explore the whole mine entirely, IMO, and get the other two recruits. The one at the entrance to the mine requires the item in the chest and the other one you should have seen on your way through the mine the first time. He's still in the same spot.
There's a lot of nodes, but I think there's only one other one that is Iron Ore. IIRC. But you'll need the stone anyways to make a mine upgrade in the castle. And then I believe you passively start accumulating iron ore.
