That said, you probably could win if you get good at forcing "battles" (time your ability at the exact same time as the opponent uses theirs, and then win the mashing battle). That is how you win matchups that you don't really have any right to win.
But for most people, you are better off ignoring beigoma at the start of the game, until you acquire better drops from random encounters as you progress through the game.
Beigoma questline is tied to beigoma stats and you need at least 2 legendary to finish the entire questline. Proceed main story until you get 2 legendary beigoma- pawn demon from proving ground, seed emperor from dappled forest (excellent lacquer spawn area). This is best done after you finish ice cavern.
You know you are ready to finish entire beigoma recruitment when you get the super lucky accessory. Equip that and lucky accessory to farm pawn demon for his beigoma.
You only need 2 legendary to finish it since those 2 will win 2/3 fights.
3rd beigoma, you replace with whichever you won from opponent.
After you finish the entire questline, defeat Dr Corque in final dungeon using seed emperor/ pawn demon/ your 1st rainbow beigoma from the previous opponent.
Replace 3rd beigoma with Dr Corque's rainbow Beigoma and challenge Reid with seed emperor/ 2 rainbow. After defeating Reid, you will have 3 rainbow beigoma needed to win every fight.
There's 2 ways to win against rainbow beigoma using legendary-
1) spam the boost attack at the same time as opponent. If enemy boost gauge is faster, you conserve and spam it the next boost gauge is used on you. This will trigger button mash, you will do boost gauge damage as long you win the button mash.
2) Or you win simply by base stat to out DPS and just spam boost attack when gauge is full
Tank > DPS > Magic > Tank
For elements...
The six types of magic are Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, Light and Dark. Water beats Fire, Fire beats Wind, Wind beats Earth, and Earth beats Water. Meanwhile, Light and Dark are both effective against each other.

Then you have grade and buffs adding to the mix.
It's the big dragon enemies. Bring Dr Corque as support and it won't take much grinding to get some
Hmm i'm gonna say to me it felt as if the progression was somewhat off. In that the ramp up from low rating to high rating went very quick, then stagnated at silver ratings while the quest line itself jumped ahead in difficulty.
Then again, i expect such from japanese games to a degree with side content.
Nah he's useless on his own. You need the super lucky badge too.
Yeah the balance sucks, but so does everything about Begoima tbh
Ah ok. I have it equipped as standard so I didn't know.
Yeah I had taken it off since I needed the monster attract item for cockatrice hatchlings for the monster they summon. Turns out I didn't even get the beigoma they drop and it was the only one I was missing.
