How do you know how much SP your chars will start with in battle?

Is there some way to know? Genuinely wasn't sure.

Open your menu out of battle. The little SP dots show what they start with. You get between 0-5(not 100% certain) spread around between characters at the start of battle. There is an accessory that lets you start with +1 SP and a rune that does the same.

Thanks! To add onto this, do you know if this changes from battle-to-battle?

I swear it changes if you use the "Auto" option too, when I select auto Nowa always uses his 3 SP skill in the first turn, but if I fight manually he doesn't have enough SP for it.

Yes it changes from battle to battle because of the random 0-5 I mentioned. It's spread across the characters, not each one getting that amount extra.

Yep, there's no incentive to hold onto sp to "conserve it" for the next battle, cause it's indeed random
