Even at 30 that's more than enough to go through 2 maybe 3 dungeons without having to head bank to town unless you're overstocking on healing...
There was a topic like this before in which I explained how the bag was big enough for the start unless you REALLY suck at the combat system (need more than 3600 points of healing) OR are grinding AND storing everything you find in your bags and not the bank
In your starting town (Eltiswiess, not Arenville) region you have 3 towns... 1 sells Elemental lvl 1 and enhancement runs, 1 sells resistance/defensive runes (no shop that sells passives ufnfortunately) which means that 90% of all runes you find from monsters are available in shops....
So in a sense... you don't really need to carry around more than 1 rune of a type at all...
No monsters (bosses excluded) will drop gear that isn't available in shop (or should be wearing already)....
So in a sense.... monster drops are just a source of money... because there's no way you have a party that will have need of those 6 copies of runes... you might have 1 healer at most (so you can only equip 1 elemental magic rune), 3 fighters (so no need for more than 3 attack runes), 1 support (so no need for more than 1 elemental resistance rune)
Mind that, again, I get how it's annoying... for me this process is SO familiar I do this pretty much without thinking about it so I hardly ever run into this problem... in any game unless bagsizes are prohibitively limited like in survival games
But what are you trying to tell me here? That it is good design to throw away half of the healing items and runes that I find in a dungeon just because I can't send them to the storage at a save point?
Again... in any party you can't even use all those runes even if you were able to swap runes in a dungeon.
You don't NEED to but it will come at the expense of other things... You don't really NEED all those runes either xD So will I throw out a stack of herb for a rune I haven't seen yet? Yes I will; especially if that stack isn't full... will I collect 6-8 (or 8-10) copies of the same rune? Sure... but when my bags are then full; guess what I'll discard first :)
EDIT: I had been farming for money through the midgame at which point I collected 30 unidenitifed coins without noticing (I have the extra luck badge for a greatly increased dropchance). When I needed to open a chest and my bags gave me "full" I simply discarded 10 of them when I only needed to discard 1 to open the chest...
Keep in mind... I'm a hoarder too but even I know when "enough" becomes "ridiculous"
