Are you saying you think those people shouldn't get banned? Because I know a ton of people were getting banned for the Hogwarts harassment campaign on various platforms when it came out. People shouldn't be forced to deal with ignorant hate regardless of where you think it's coming from.
I'm tired of every big release having over the top negative reactions for no reason. Why can't people just grow up and stop acting like toddlers who are unable to understand their actions have consequences?
So which is it that should get banned? Because the more disruptive if going by your bar is the group saying the localization isn't that bad.
And, also, Complaining shouldn't be against the rules at all.
It's very telling that instead of acknowledging the complaints, they instead create a rule to ban the complaints.
Not the same thing
Customers and prospective Customers are asking about the unprofessional English localisation and if there are any plans by the Developers/Publishers to fix the issue
That's not a hate raid, that's a legitimate question for potential buyers and dissatisfied customers
You ban them you are just losing sales or future return sales (no sequel purchases if it does get made due to negative experience handled in this one)
Hogwarts was people who never had any intention of buying the game, telling others that they could not play the game either and weren't allowed to play it because playing a video game was causing real world harm according to their political world view
They did not just want to boycott JK Rowling, they wanted to punish anyone who played the game (streamer harassment by even putting up a website to show which streamer was streaming the game to harass them and chase them off the internet)
It was a minority of people, and it caused Hogwarts to sell even more games as people don't like being told what they are allowed to buy or play with their own money
Future customers and real current customers asking for bug/issue fixes vs militant zealots demanding no-one else is allowed to buy or play the game or suffer their punishment
These are not the same
Sit down, and let me remind you what leftists were doing during the Hogwarts 'drama'. I dont know what happened on the Steam forums back then (meaningless text anyway), but I know what happened on twitch and IRL. Leftists organized and led harassment campaigns on Twitch, trying to get people banned, have sponsors pulled and issuing death threats, because playing Hogwarts = trans genocide to these defected beings.
At least the 'right wingers' here in the Eiyuden forums and Twitch havent issued any death threats or organized harassment campaigns for people who enjoy the game for what it is.
Constructive criticism to these people equates with harassment.
And on Steam, I also talked at them like I'm doing here and I never got banned. Steam was doing the moderation on that board. And it was pretty fair IMO.
You can probably still see my Hogwarts posts in my post profile. *goes to check.*
That should explain everything.
Those people can get away with anything because if you criticize their action you are a phobic and voila you're the one banned instead.
Complaining for change is an uphill battle and they're at the top of the hill. As complainers come up and are getting banned they're just able to chuck rubbish down without consequence and act like it's fair.
And companies hide behind "It's our house" rule so they can be little dictatorships.
But, while it's possible for them to do so, it doesn't mean it's good for their customer base.
I used to shout from the rooftops about Suikoden and getting a remake/remaster/reboot. On a lot of forums. For decades.
You think I'll ever be shouting from the rooftops about Eiyuden Chronicles?
