Castle currency

Does the currency that you use to build things in your castle (forget what it's called) get generated passively? Is it connected to quests completed in the game? Or is it just connected to time passing (can I just go make a sandwich and come back to find more currency)?

It is generated passively. As to what triggers it to update, that I don't know. It's not quest-based since I got some while I was running around recruiting people. So it's probably just a time thing. Maybe once every X minutes. I'm not sure what changes the accrual rate though. I suspect it's a function of how much population you have, but have done no testing to see.

I have no way to confirm this but it's over time, I was getting the currency popup when entering or exiting buildings in the castle without going outside to kill anything. I think each 30 minutes, probably based on your population because I'm getting a lot more currency now with a bunch of buildings and upgrades.
