Wheel Eye Bream - Recruit Huang

Hey everyone.

I know what to do to recruit Huang and i know where to cath the "Wheel Eye Bream" but unfortunately i am unable to catch the fish. I cleared the spot 8x and in alle the Videos ive seen they got the fish 1st try.. is there something missing on my side?

Just unlucky. It took me a long time to get my wheel eye bream, about 4 entire pulls.

Not cool mate, i am at my 10th right now...

The best tip I have for this is to ignore the bobble in the water and instead look for the exclamation ! above your character's head. Much quicker to react to.

The fish that immediately pull the floater downwards is the fish. There's 0-2 swimming in the area and quite tough to catch them unless you quickly pull it directly when it nibble on your bait. You might have encounter it and it got away immediately. Just ignore all other fish and pull back immediately. Your other fish will fail, the wheel eye bream will succeed.

Just making sure, you're at the spot next to the cave right?

In any case, I think I ended up clearing that spot 4-5x before I got 2x of that fish in my next clear.

I've talked to Huang and I got the quest to catch Wheel Eye Bream. There should be a fishing spot next to the cave, but I cannot find it, even if I know where it should be. Has anyone else faced this issue?

It is to the south of the seaside cavern, there's just no dock, but it's at the end of the peninsula

Yeah, the spot you're after is really easy to miss. No pier and it's basically a cliff. Your best bet is a video.

I'm going to point out that I also got Wheel Eyed Breem (and more often) from the fishing spot INSIDE the cavern as well, though this is in post game when I was trying to catch the rest of the fish I was missing. So pop on a couple of monster repel charms (if you can get them by then) and just hit both spots when you're down there.
