How often do shops reset their inventory?

Saw a play in an item shop but couldn't afford it at the time and since then it has never reappeared. Any idea when it comes back around?

I want to say 30 minutes. But, you can also save at an inn and keep reloading -> running to item shop to check rare find. The chance for one to appear depends on when you open up the shop, just make sure your save is before that otherwise you'd be locked for the 30 mins.

It's 30 minutes and can be save scummed. The rate is very low. Like 1/10.

Anyone know if the 30 minute timer works if you are standing in the town, or does it require 30 minutes out of the town?
