Lost a sale.

Just wanted to let the developers know that they lost my sale due to the English localisation. I will be HAPPY to buy the game if original devs decide to have an accurate, non-political BS, English translation.

I will not support games that use localizers that butcher the original script/story. I hope Japanese game devs take more care who they use to localize for them.

I will not tolerate getting an inferior script simply because I'm English and they used activist/incompetent localizers.

edit: To the people saying that I am injecting my own political BS into the conversation I say this - It isn't my side of the political BS that is changing media scripts. If these texts were already originally in the game and the Japanese developers intended to have them in then I wouldn't have anywhere near the reaction, if any, to it.

My issue is with the innate NEED for these localizers to change foreign art/media to fit radical western points of view which are often politically charged or motivated.

Doing so completely goes against the initial appeal of consuming foreign art. Whats the point at that point? I'm not getting a different perspective or experience I could otherwise get with a Western game.

The topic and contention is about the localizers that feel entitled to change what the original Japanese devs set in place for no good reason but to satisfy their own hubris. They feel like they know what is better for us than the actual script writers.

Last I'll say on this topic for a game I have no intention to purchase unless an official accurate translation comes out. The game does genuinely look good, happy people with lower standards are finding enjoyment out of it but I am voting with my wallet as they say.

Gamers are re-acting to political activism in gaming. How will the publisher (505) change its tune unless it becomes aware of this problem for all the games it releases. The games are commercially destroyed upon release. The people at the top (publishers, investors) must stop interfering with politics. We just want to play games as we did in the past.
