F*** The cook off minigame!

Sorry about that, I just needed to vent. Seriously though, who looked at that minigame and thought "Yeah! That won't make players throw their controller across the room."

How're you all losing? I've had an enemy chef come out with a grand score of 4 after 3 rounds before.

Just make Omelette for App, Fried Egg for Main, and Coconut Water for Dessert.

But yea, it's doodoo.

Dish order doesn't even matter, actually. You can make the omelette for desert and they don't care.

The Cooking Minigame is bugged. It scores every course as if it were an appetizer.

So, make appetizers for all three courses until the bug gets fixed.

Miso Soup, Fried Egg, and Coconut Water haven't yet lost me a competition.

Wait, really? Well, I had no idea that's what was going on. Guess that explains why some things I'd expect to do really well get all 1's and 2's. When I did fruit parfait and got all 1's, I thought that it might have just been me getting really unlucky with judges that just hate fruit!

That's odd, the 4 total score one, because I'm near the end, and I had to do what Vex said, take advantage of the bug, since the scores my opponent got were perfect or nearly so half the time after that very first one. Same with the card game, until I was able to upgrade the shop, I stood no change. 3 games in a row had hands of 999, 789, and 6-8 triples. It was infuriating. once I had some bonus cards, I could win/they stopped pulling that. This is on PS5.

That explains why I had Mellore rate an Apple Cider Soda higher than a parfait on one round.

I don't think that's true. I just think they only balanced the starter dishes and just did ♥♥♥♥ all with the rest. That's why the easy dishes are the ones that score well.

Every enemy chef gets low scores too.

Right, about that. In that particular shot at the Cook off. (It was against the second guy. The one who specialised in Eastern cuisine) The Judges kept giving my opponent the higher score.
I'd done a fairly good job on my end too. But somehow his scores went all the way up to 5.

I have no idea how ya'll are losing! Literally every battle I have 15+ points on the enemy easy.

They may have a round of a few 5s, but they lose every other round.

I'm not saying the game is perfect. Actually I'm saying it's very broken. Just do the dishes everyone keeps saying. It's not likely to be fixed. All of the cooking games in Suikoden have been broken.

Bro, you are in every topic defending this game, every topic. How do you even have time to play the game with how much time you spend on the forums here? No one can say anything bad about this game because you are always here to white knight it. I'm up to date (PC), but as far as I can tell it is not fixed.
