On top of that every mini boss and big boss fight always have a save point. Even after you defeated a boss it is always best to save.
Even the most unstable PS1 games didn't tend to randomly lock up while going through a shop menu, let alone modern games.
To be fair, as a PC player for Eiyuden, it hasnt crashed a single time in 40 hours. I still have 3 saves on top of the auto save. Im an experienced gamer and ALWAYS have a backup save or two. There are tons of save points in this game, if you fail to save thats on you.
There is no reason for you to lose more than 15-20 minutes of play time to a crash with this game. Save points are almost everywhere.
Well except when the game doesn't even let you save for 75 minutes but that's a different issue....
It's a well known bug that's been around since the closed beta, doesn't matter what platform. I encountered it day 1 of the closed beta; you get a bunch of new runes after the Kogen boss fight and right after it's done and the cutscenes that follow you are sent to the entrance of Elteweiss and the rune shop is on the way to the inn - so it's only natural to want to slot in some new runes into some empty slots. The fact that such a major bug hasn't been patched yet is concerning. Perhaps inform yourself of the nature of such bugs before making such pretentious comments.
"But old Suikoden games didn't have it."
Old Suikoden games also didn't have many things this game has. Auto-save isn't going to break your nostalgia.
If you use the manual save point right before the boss still doesn't lose more than 20 minutes of playtime, which was my point. Thanks for the education though.
