I enjoyed the ending
Maybe it was hampered a little pacing wise because I was in the last stage of EA before the final 1.0 update and the story beats there, and I've been away from the story for so long. But, I like the cascade of reveals and how the real Robin doomed the world due to their pride, greed, and incompetence despite being a genius.

I enjoyed how in the end there was the chance to completely spurn them and humanity. They're the ones that counted on this, they've caused real suffering to all of our friends, and the world will remain totally destroyed, adjusting to its new normal now that there's no way to go back thanks to all the misguided attempts to fix it with "more."

I chose the Stay ending and it is good to have everyone support that it was the right decision. Robin has already royally screwed up one time, what's to say that their next brilliant plan won't falter? They may be a genius but they're also a terrible sibling, a horrible lover, and already an architect of the apocalypse.

I do feel bad for the humans on the Eden, as many of them can't be that bad and just happen to be in a terrible situation, but they do have Robin already and they'll just have to use that genius for a better solution. Their problem, they abandoned the Earth, theirs to fix, not ours.

P.S. I really like how the game has this incredible sense of beauty and thriving life with the apocalypse. Too many "ends of the world" are brown, dusty, and gray, so being able to enjoy a world that is healing, adapting, and thriving over the remains of the wasteful civilization that doomed it is pretty calming and serene in its own way.

Humanity may one day be forced to leave, but life persists anyway, and it's beautiful.

I found the ending to be a little anticlimactic. You find out who you are, and what happened and were given the choice, but then...life goes on such as it is. I know there is potentially more content to come, but as it stands the ending doesn't really feel like one, just the loose ends tidied up...a bit.
I’m curious what happens if we choose to send our consciousness to Eden? I’m guessing most people choose to stay and cut off contact instead.

You'll need to max relationships to get different responses.

Ah, I suppose that explains why Earl seemed amenable to it and the others were like “no thanks” lol (he’s my highest relationship at the moment).

But what if I choose the “send consciousness” option in spite of what the other 3 said? Do they stop you from going through with it somehow?
