How many minions can you have in July 24?

I'm sure I saw a thread where someone said they have 4 minions. I only have 3 minions and I can't find the unique part to make a 4th.

Am I doing something wrong, did I miss something obvious perhaps? Get unlucky with an obscure bug. It doesn't really matter too much to me, because there's little impact when you've done everything available and patches are a while between them.

It might be an issue if there's an unresolved bug and lots of players only have 3 minions when they should have 4 though.

I've got 5 minons. You can find more cores if you get lucky with the expeditions. i got very lucky.
having said that i dunno if having that many minons is healthy. they still have problems. mine like to randomly freeze up every so often. i have to move them and reset their programs.

Yes, I can see that having more wouldn't exactly solve any problems right now, given that mine spend so much time dropping stuff on the floor, failing to power bio generators when there is fuel available, putting in more fuel than they can use and wasting it, and failing to build or store stuff efficiently and quickly.

You should be able to find one core on your roof, two can be found through expeditions, and two can be bought from stores or vending machines. Theoretically they'll help cut down your workload on other rooftops... but building the infrastructure for them and hoping their AI works is a bit of a hassle.

After the last update when I did a fresh run through I just left the one minion I built in an undefined role. It sat outside it's charging tub til it's battery ran low, then it would charge back up. I only used it as a mascot, or a "Wilson" facsimile. I went full solar power, so there was nothing for it to refuel, and I prefer to do my own building and inventory management. I called it Hot Tub Bob.
