I think I just made the game unfinishable?? (Out of reactors)

I've unlocked just about everywhere I can physically go, but haven't unlocked lvl 3 of the drone tower & I can't find anymore reactors?! Do I need to start over or am I overlooking something?

Okay bad news, I need to upgrade mine to do that, which requires... you guessed it! 2 Reactor Cores! Am I just screwed, or is there another way out of this?

Some shops sell them and there are a couple around the map you can also demolish structures or break down items to get materials back.

Haven't seen them in shops so far? I only have access to the 1st five areas since I never unlocked the 3rd level of the drone tower. And... I think I've gotten all the reactors you can scavenge from the map, think I used the last ones upgrading something else without realizing

What demolishable objects use reactors? I don't recall what would drop them (Besides teleporters, and I ran out before I made any)

Just start by checking the recipes in the in-game journal if any recipes apply

Upgrading press doesn't require reactors. It's upgrading the tower that requires them.

The Nanoforge? Luckily lvl 2 actually does, I was able to demolish the whole thing to get reactor cores out of its lvl 2 version! I was able to reconstruct its lvl 1 variant so I managed to get the tower all the way up to lvl four and then I had more than enough reactors to get it back up to lvl 2

That is not the upgraded press, you want the machine that also turns stuff into wood, metal, and plexiglass

I have never actually used the press to make anything other then reactors and I built it as soon as I read where reactors come from so I forgot the mats needed to upgrade it

Not the spinny one or even the one that takes 4 wood to make an advanced resource.

You want the thing that looks like a mechanical hydraulic press a crusher thing that makes wood out of...biomass?, metal sheets out of metal scraps, and glass out of plastic.
