anyway, the other roof doesn't work for most minion related things. not sure if fixes for that will be in the upcoming patch already.
so at this point there is not much you can do. start new and do things differently.
2) What are these issues you're referring to? A little elaboration would be helpful.
3) Why is six too many? Is it related to the issues you didn't elaborate on? Nothing in the game suggests that there's a limit on how many minions will work.
4) I have three minions and I am having the exact same issue. They're all sitting in one spot, flashing low battery, and refusing to recharge. Is that because three is too many? Because they worked just fine for the last five hours, and now randomly don't work. Why is that? Judging from the arrogant and condescending tone of your post, you seem to have some deep insight into this issue. Please enlighten us.
Why? Explain. What has gone wrong that can not be reversed and what should be done differently?
:wink_eol:
Update: I rebuilt my charging station and they flocked to it the moment it was ready.
For the record to clarify, I have 6 minions. 3 engineers and 3 collectors.
Regarding charging stations, I have now have 3 in total built (upped from the original 2) but each can hold up to 3 minions each. Was hoping a new one might solve the problem - it didn’t.
On the main roof you start on, no issue they’re still working. It’s the hotel roof they’ve stopped dead on.
1. 1 charging-pool with 3 spots = 3 charging-pools with 9 spots... not that hard is it!? and there are only 6 minions...
2. what issues? uhm, like not doing their job, getting stuck at places, forget what they have to e.g. collect...
3. see the above. the minions are well know to have or cause issues, and building 6 (where did all those core even come from?) is just literally asking for problems...
4. are you reading something else? where was i arrogant? for that i actually thought about not replying to you at all. because your tone in my direction is not exactly nice, is it?
anyway... when minions stop working or stand around for no reason, the easiest "fix" is to give them another job or switch from manual to automated collection or vice versa. that normally makes them move again.
the "deep insights" come from playing the game, reading the forums and discord. all infos are out there. the fact that i am one of the playtesters doesn't have to do with it. there are numerous posts about the minions and their issues.
6 minions are too many at this point/state of the game. not sure if the upcoming patch will fix them fully.
you definitely don't need that many charging stations/pools. you have 9 spots/seats and only 6 minions...
the other roof is known to have minion issues. it is better to not use that for minions atm. they know, but i am also not sure if fixes for that make it into the patch yet. but there is really nothing you can do about that. the 2nd roof is a problem for them for some reason.
but if you want to get answers from the devs and/or provide feedback and your save, you should join the discord.
so at this point, wait and hope the patch fixes it, or just start new and keep those issues in mind.
Reading comprehension. What is it?
2. You just said "issues" without elaborating. As someone that isn't having game-breaking issues, I needed clarification. For me, simply rebuilding the charging station worked perfectly and I haven't had any issues since.
3. What is "well known"? Where is this being discussed? I can't be assed to join the Discord of every game I buy just because there's a minor bug. You saying "minions have issues" without providing context is useless. There isn't a single mention of this exact issue in the pinned BUG THREAD at the top of the forum here. There also isn't a single thread about THIS issue in the FIRST FIVE PAGES of the bug report forum. There are threads about minion issues, but none about this.
4. No, my tone isn't nice. Your post with your stupid wink emoji at the end, after giving no useful advice, was the definition of condescending. You can backpedal, but I don't care.
And no, changing their assignments does not fix the issue. Tried that. Rebuilding the charging stations, on the other hand, completely solved the problem for me.
Fix your OP. It says 2.
2. the minions, in general, have and cause issues, that is well known from different threads. several do mention them not moving/getting stuck, maybe not in the title, but in threads related to minions. also about the 2nd roof causing issues for them.
3. see above... no more context is needed than "the minions have issues atm". the have all sorts of issues.
4. still, my post was not offensive or an insult in any way, or was it? it was also not pointed at you... and that a wink emoji upsets you so much... well... when you have to start a new game, isn't that fitting?
5. changing their assignments is one of the workarounds that can help. obviously not in all cases. another is moving/rebuilding the charging station, which worked for you but not the op. but like i said often enough, the minions can cause several issues.
did anything fix your issues by now?
nah.. i had removed/deconned all the charging stations and rebuilt them (cleared all 3 of them before I rebuilt just to make sure there were none on the map) but they're still battery dead. Its only on the Hotel building tho. The main one's fine.
I'm no game dev but they are almost behaving like theres a TTL encoded into there AI, perhaps to stop further down road when players have upwards of 15 minons killing your average PC if theres a item with issues. when you reload from an drone run, the job stack gets shuffled and for a while the obtainable items get cleaned until the problem item crops up again.
It might be helpful if theres a way to tell the player the minon cannot path. while it's certainly not 100% of the issues, it may help for some of it as i've found some items 'stuck' in odd places with frozen bots.
The chests and racks also have a similar issue where the spot they need to interact with isn't clear on the blueprint.
