The fish you catch can be used to get food and resources.
I've watched a few streamers/youtubers playing this and every one of them has inventory problems within moments and one was actively avoiding looting to get around the issue and still had problems.
So is this game an inventory management sim, or is there actually a game?
I guess I just don't get it with these games. It's NEVER fun to have constrained inventory and is always annoying to have to do everything manually with zero help from the UI. So why do devs keep doing this to players?
OMG, yes! This so much! I love survival games or base-building games, but inventory management drives me absolutely crazy! As you say, there is no fun at all to spend a lot of your time - in this game I feel it's close to 50% at times! - just having to juggle items in your inventory, having to expand your inventory, or trying to come up with ingenious ways to NOT deal with your (overflowing) inventory.
And, at the same time, I just can't leave stuff on the ground, because it bugs me. There's also the added fact that my minions (why not just call them bots?) just place items into storage randomly. I've tried manually handling their routines, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to restrict them from picking up certain stuff or restrict them from using certain storage boxes. You can direct them to pick stuff up and place it somewhere, but the minion system really needs some more tweaking.
The economy doesn't feel good to engage with at this stage of the game. I don't want to be in this player's situation where the act of farming creates such a huge backlog of consumables for other activities that I am pushed to engage in those activities, especially if I don't like those activities.
I also do not like leaving litter on the ground, and I don't want to build a bunch of storage chests for junk.
like others said, go fishing, you'll need fish oil and food.
for leeches (i have none at all anymore) and against more slime, you need to keep weeds at a minimum by placing uv-lamps close to the big plants...
5 garden of coffee or pepper 10-15 worms in 1 stage ... catching fish will get bored later..
