Nope, but you can contain them with barricades and torches.

I hate this big plants. Please let us destroy them. I have enough to do with water, food, ressources and understanding the game/mechanic, therefore i don't want to build new fences all over and over again or produce bug spray like a maniac. And there are more than one of this big plants. So please let us destroy them or let the bugs(or little plants) don't breakthrough the fences (maybe special fences even with doorways, in order to then go through and "harvest" the slimes if you needed to).
It is a "fun brake", at least for me. Maybe you can find a way to satisfy people who don't need stress and competition all the time AND those who always want more enemies and running around like crazy ;) Like i said maybe with a "special fence" or something similar. Thanks.

That might be a balancing issue. They seem to be part of the struggle. If you got rid of the plants you would not longer need the protection poles. By removing the protection poles you no longer have a massive pull on energy. Remember, some things are connected.

Struggles:
* Player vs Time
* Environment vs Resources
* Resources vs Consumption

Consumption doesn't really mean items for the player. It could be power required to run the base. Resources to supply power to the system.

Du kannst später die Würmer aber auch aufhalten mit dem UV-Turm ... eine Fackel in die Nähe, damit sie nicht gleich den Turm anfressen und erst zur Fackel kriechen ... auf dem Weg dahin werden sie gegrillt. :)

But you can also stop the worms later with the UV tower... a torch nearby so that they don't eat the tower right away and first crawl to the torch... they'll be grilled on the way there. :)

The torch isn't that great of a solution. I bug sprayed the plants during the day and made m ore spray. Once I got the plants semi under control I would let them grow out and then thin them back. It worked out well until I was able to build the uv lamps.

i meant the torch in addition to the uv tower, so that you don't have to constantly repair the tower

Only the tower by the default starting area was really the problem for the tower getting damaged. I was working out how to get a tower down on the lower deck from the main starting area before I stopped playing.

As far as I can see, a better injector is planned in one of the next updates anyway, so you will be able to get rid of plants completely ... but newer enemies will also be added to the new levels/areas ... then it works the fun starts all over again! ;)

I can't build a UV-Tower and i don't have a recipe currently. But nevertheless thank you.
I would be fine when i could keep them in an specific area without them making damage. At this stage in my game the resources are too scarce to repair all the time or make tons of spray for all those worms/plants. And i don't want to sprint through the game. I am a very slow walker ;)

Sorry but i can't understand what you mean.
When you spray the plants they are gone, so what do you mean semi under control?
Do you let some stay so they can grow? I even didn't know they grow bigger, in prolog i have to clear them right away.
What do you mean with thin them back? Are those plants with the "ball" inside the grown plants and do you mean to remove the "ball"?
What is the benefit when you do it your way ?
Thanks in advance when you have the patience to spread knowledge to me ;)

Every night the larger plants spawn worms. Those worms at day break explode. So yes if you leave them alone long enough the infection spreads. I then make more spray clear them out and wait for the cycle to repeat.

i have uv-lamps next to them and nothing spawns for me anymore.
Mr Tree Frog Aug 17, 2023 @ 2:23pm
I have minimal spawns now. But I'm also consuming to much power.

well they fixed a lot of stuff with the patch. e.g. the printer.

I saw that. I just don't feel like starting over at the moment.
