Can't get more metal frames

I might have soft locked myslef. After unlocker the lower area i collected all the metal frames i ound and upgraded the bridge. It was only after that i found out i need the metal frames for the printer. Is there another way of finding more metal frames or will i have to restart?

+1 same situation, except I have the "metal frames disappear from the resource printer" bug. I assume we have to start a new run, but hoping anyone has any solution/suggestion?

If your frames are disappearing, are your minions picking them up and putting them in storage?

Or are they not finishing because the printer pauses every now and then?
