Make Earl a Burger?

I assume I have reached the end of the current Alpha content because I'm at the quest to make a burger but I can't upgrade the kitchen to allow Chef Mode for 4 items. Earl said it takes Bread, Lettuce, Patty, and Hot Sauce...

Is this the end of the alpha content?

In the hotel area are wild-growing hot peppers. Use those for the hot sauce.

You do, except for the bread, he teaches you that as well. But then, those two are the only recipes we have for now that take four ingredients, so we actually can't research those on our own.

you can also get the energy bar. earl gives you that one too, but its 4 as well.
