Buying a ticket to enter Carnival

I got the quest to explore the Carnival location, I got there, hit the arrow to go to the ticket booth, but then I had to leave the game, so I saved my progress and quit. Now, whe I try to return, I get to the screen where the drone hovers in front of the gate, there is an arrow button pointing at the ticket booth/screen but when I click it, nothing happens. Am I missing something and misunderstanding where to get the ticket from, or did it somehow glitch and lock me out?

I also did the exact thing / steps and now I'm also locked out it seems. I can go back but now the arrows don't work.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think you had to talk to Prospero afterward. There wasn't really a ticket to the inventory... it was completed without much of a hint.
What does the quest progress say, top right (notepad)?

Jumping in to say I got the same bug. I quit the game while at the carnival location, after buying the ticket. When I returned, I cannot enter the carnival.
- Quest (top right) says : Find the generator and turn on the power
- In the Carnival location, the ''arrows'' to enter or move in the carnival are not working.

Please help

You need to interact with the ticket vendor again. I did the same thing, accidentally backed out of the carnival while working on that task/quest, but interacting with the ticket terminal let me back in. Basically, no entry without a ticket.

Same issue. I zoomed out to do a birds eye view of the carnival after finding the power console and could only investigate the ticket area and front gate after that. The arrows to progress forward are non responsive, interacting with the ticket dispenser does nothing. Effectively locked out of progression.

My task is still "buy a ticket and go to the fair" but I can't go past the entrance, I'm not able to interact with the ticket terminal because clicking the arrow button pointing to it doesn't do anything :(

Had a similar but slightly different bug -- the game let me enter the carnival without buying the ticket and I started the generator and ferris wheel and still had the "buy a carnival ticket" prompt when I opened my notebook back at the base and noticed

I went back and got the ticket but it just moved on to the next prompt -- "find and start the generator" and I already did and can't interact with it anymore..
