I have an upgraded hammer but no floor patches??

I've been stuck on making the little cages on the big weeds for weeks and I finally decided to check here. Apparently, we're supposed to be able to make floor patches after doing the homecoming event. However, I finished that a while ago and don't see anything about floor patches in the construction menu. I've already upgraded my hammer so I don't understand what I'm missing.

Hey there, you should have the blueprints unlocked once you upgraded your hammer, did you check at the workbench?

I received a pop up saying I got the floor patch blueprint, but its not there at the workbench. Wondering if its because I had already completed all blueprints before the floor patch one was awarded, so the blueprint section doesn't even show any longer.

Do you have the Perfect Workbench? I have the floor patch listed as the top item on that station.

You have to make the patches on workbench and then apply it, I know, I was stuck too for a while, generally anyone will think that having an upgraded hammer will do the patching work automatically like all other tool upgrades.
