How to repair cultivator?

My no-harm cultivator (one of several) has broken (value of 0) and the repair option is red. I have a repair kit in my inventory; it says 'click and hold on a structure' but the cultivator is red with an X over it. Am I missing something?

Edit: all of my cultivators are broken now. Hopefully someone can help me with this?

Right-click the repair box in Your inventory, and then left-click on the no-harm cultivator. It works like bucket, You need to "activate" it first. No idea why there's this button in cultivator menu.

I see now, the repair kit has to be in a 1-9 item slot to be used. Got it, thanks.
