Energizing Coffee???

So not sure if I found a bug or I just simply can't figure it out. I have grown coffee beans I place them in the chef mode and get to three ingredients and it still says add more ingredients. but 4th slot is not available because the stove can't be upgraded. Am I just missing the recipe completely or is this a bug I should ignore with the "energizing coffee" mission.

hmm, doesn´t work for me I have Coffee-Beans, I have Drinking-Water but I can´t add the Drinking-water and start the ("Mixing")-Process. Do I miss somthing ?

you need a drinking water bottle ... its made with coal and a clean bottle of water... in cook stove

Thanks for posting this. The game should have given a bit more of a tip or suggestion, because I just couldn't figure it out at all.

those recipes are evil. so much of the better foods need the drinking water, which absorbs the bottles so you eat thru your plastic stores wholesale. 26hrs in and i'm out of plastic >.<
(yes i know how to get more however its getting tedious)

a little tip: End game, there a recipe for a thingy that makes all kind of stuff out of biomass. It's way less tedious than fishing for plastic.

well... in reality you also use drinking water and coffee beans... it is not that far-fetched.
same for other food, which is relatively close to the irl recipes (sure very basic).
you can even make a latte... but where do you get the milk from?

Talk to the fridge, he does give you a quest to figure this out at one point. If you ask him for a hint, he tells you.

But the hint only says something about 'pouring hot water on it' and nowhere does it state that the thermos actually holds warm water, so I was trying to use bottled fresh water and that didn't work...

well, it would hold hot water, but since you "cook" it... you basically boil it. yes, the desalinated water bottles seem obvious and should work. but i guess they will just change the tooltip. but it is also not really hard to figure this recipe out. there are less obvious recipes.
