Report a translation problem
When I reached out to support, I was told that "it seems like a Unity library we started using isn't one that your CPU can handle". :/
Edit: I swapped the CPU for a old i7 920 and it has the same problem. Could also be a AVX or AVX2 issue??

I really hope it's fixable, because I don't think I can refund the game at this point (I've had it for months and I have about 40-something hours in), and getting a new processor for one single game—that technically meets the minimum requirements stated on the store page—is probably not worth it right now. (And I was so excited for the Tangle slimes too, dammit. :( )
I get it, game hard to run, weather hard to run, though the first game handled it pretty well. Meh
