Issue booting
After this new update the game won't open for me. It gets to the "press any button to start" page, then when I press a button it crashes. It there anyway to fix this issue?

Edit: The new gadgets update has fixed this problem for me! I hope it's resolved for everyone else as well! (Good update by the way, this gadget stuff is really cool!)

I have the same issue (though I got my game through Epic Games). I have an Intel® Xeon® CPU E5620 and I used to run the game fine before. I tested running the game in clean boot and have checked for CPU driver updates, but none of that worked.

When I reached out to support, I was told that "it seems like a Unity library we started using isn't one that your CPU can handle". :/

Game crashes the same way here... Using a 5675 Xeon. Before the update it was fine..

Edit: I swapped the CPU for a old i7 920 and it has the same problem. Could also be a AVX or AVX2 issue??

lol yup, got the same response. It just seems like a bug that they need to take a look at

I really hope it's fixable, because I don't think I can refund the game at this point (I've had it for months and I have about 40-something hours in), and getting a new processor for one single game—that technically meets the minimum requirements stated on the store page—is probably not worth it right now. (And I was so excited for the Tangle slimes too, dammit. :( )

I don't have this problem, I earn a badge

I haven't had a crash on that screen, but in general the game has started crashing a bit more often, specifically when transitioning areas/using portals very frequently or sometimes just from loading too fast, like when I save and quit to avoid said teleport crashes and then it crashes trying to load in anyway lol.

I get it, game hard to run, weather hard to run, though the first game handled it pretty well. Meh
