But I think that trading plorts for them would be a fantastic idea. It could take plorts from 3-5 slimes from the areas that they're commonly found in, with things like the diamonds needing more. I think it would even be fine if they take a lot of plorts because it's not hard to get corals set up with constant streams of them. It would be a great plort sink too.

I can't blame people for the typo when the game genuinely feels like you're more of a ranger than a rancher XD

Were the extractors a lil op? Maybe. But I also never felt stressed out looking for materials to progress the story or decorate my farm, or use warp gates. Even the holographic markers to mark nodes take science material I just don't have. And I always gather from nodes when I see them.
Feels bad.
