monomi park has said multiple times that they are not interested in adding multiplayer for slime rancher 2 in early access and that if they were to add it then it would be until after 1.0, and i doubt it will be immediately after 1.0 launches probably 2-3 years after 1.0 comes out if they're not working on paid DLC

cyberpunk2077's fanbase and modding community are still active and its doesnt have multiplayer, only thing that keeps a game's community active it a good game that has no shortage of content now THAT is what will kill this game the radio silence from the devs and lack of updates without any meaningful content

if you check steamdb currently slime rancher 1 has 7,189 players active

but slime rancher 2 has 595 players active

slime rancher 2 literally has a Fourteenth of slime rancher 1 active players why is that?,

after 2.5 yeas in EA SR2 still doesn't even have half the content of SR1 and is still vastly Superior compared to its successor, maybe if monomi focused on finishing the game instead of adding TWO decoration updates back to back maybe then SR2 player base wouldn't have fallen off as much as it did, i haven't seen a well known you tube creators make videos on this game(besides cupquake and blitz) in such a long time because it a basically a forgotten game compared to SR1.

If you haven't already figured it out there is a mod to make slime rancher multiplayer. It lookes like they have no plans to make the game multiplayer in any way.

Maybe if yall focused on your real life and quit sitting here literally counting the days the devs have said anything or put out updates, you would be much more content. They are working on it, that is all that matters and it is far better than the first game BY FAR and it isn't even finished. The first game has more players bc it is a finished game and is popular.
