Slime Rancher 2

Slime Rancher 2

this game misses so much
It hurts me to see how much of a disappointment this is, adding drones after 1.0 means drones will be added probably after the map is done or almost done so there wont be anything to left to explore while they work.

Not to mention how much I hate the new way of getting the resorces (no pumps drills and apiaries), let me know if any of you agree with this because I am not sure if I am the only one who thinks this is kind of tedious.

And what about the extra zones with the games in the first game? will there be any of that? areas like the glass desert are needed new slimes with creative properties (think how creative some of the end game slimes were in the first game, like quantum slimes and those in the glass desert like moseic and the magic water system in the glass desert, we need more creative ideas like these).

I hope there is much that they are not showing us or whatever, When do they plan on finishing the game? its been so long yet the game feels so empty (not just slimes and old ones but it kind of misses the magic of the old game) this game doesnt even feel half way through I mean what will it take 2,3 more years?

And honestly why are there no cool doors with keys or ones that open with plorts like in the first game? and I dont count that one or two doors that dont really give that unlocking feeling, and also the tiny doors dont really count aswell.

I would really like to see some SLR1 mechanics in this game and let me know what you guys think.

Btw I dont know if it fits this game but knowing this game is on the same planet we could see some varients of other slimes maybe as different colors properties etc.
And I really believe that it is up to the real fun of the game to call this out when something doesnt feel right.
Forgive me I just dont want this game to fall off early.

i both like and hate the new resource collecting, it gives you something more to do but what i don't like is that the rarer resources are used in so many things. i feel like you should be able to either use the new prontomart to buy rarer resources or be able to suppliment them in recipies with money, im only on day 51 and i have almost 200k with next to nothing to spend it on. for reference i only got to 100k in SR1 after i had already bought everything and was like in day 100 or something. (those numbers might not be right, ill check later and edit but you get my point)

where did they say drones were after 1.0, i played and took a break until drones came out, but i haven't seen anything about drones looking thru the patch lists? i really hope they come out way before, the typical grind is way worse than one due to the massive reduction in storage blocks, and the slimes get angry so fast i felt like i spent 90 percent of my time at base

Honestly, I was and continue to be disappointed with SR2. They took it in a direction I just wasn't interested in going. Maybe I was expecting more of SR1? Does Bea find another lover now that Casey is 1000 light years away? Are there more SR1-like areas to explore? Some of the SR2 areas just leave me cold, to the point I have no desire to explore them.
I think they should have either stayed truer to SR1, or abandoned SR1 and moved into something new and exciting. Instead we have Slime Rancher 1.5. Keep a lot of the old roots and explore new things that our player base may or may not want.

honestly i still love this game, i just want drones so i can explore more, ive always loved the casual fun feel of the series and imho its still here, until u get three aggro slimes, then u spent almost all ur time at base micromanaging them

the ringtails produce so much they're at 40 plorts when the rest are at like 35

this isnt a fair criticism while they're in early access

which criticism specifically
bc i feel like these criticisms make perfect sense as its in early access so they can hear fan feedback as they are developing the game

The game is for the most part what i wanted from a Slime rancher sequel.

More places to explore, more things to find, More QOL features, overall streamlining SR1 and making it bigger.

A few problems i have is that there arent enough mobility options for how big they want the game world, Im 20 hours in and dont have the 2 way portal to start exploring from the edge of the map, have to run all the way back when i want to.

Another is that they added extensions for the ranch ON the extensions, This wouldnt be a problem if i had access to the 2 way portal, but i dont, So if i want to get to one of these places i have to sprint for like 2 minutes to get there AND 2 minutes to get out.

The SR2 home ranch is more beautiful but way less practical.

Long story short, Give me the 2 way portal from SR1 and alot of my problems go away.

Edit: GIVE ME MY RADIATION SLIME BACK!

I don't get why they haven't started off with the known slimes from 1 and then expanded upon those by gradually introducing new and/or variant slimes. As for what someone above me said, about SR2 having more places to explore, more things to find... oh? Have I missed something? And what kind of QOL features are you talking about? As of yet there have not been any significant updates, at least not that I'm aware of, when compared to SR1?

I still want to see the plots be expandable, now THAT would be huge improvement. But instead I'm sort of 'forced' to choose to either keep my slimes in their corrals, which feel very restrictive, or to have them roam free, which I don't like at all, because it's far too RNG in terms of what can happen.

I'm not too sure about the resource gathering being better or worse, though for me it does feel a bit less intuitive. I also don't like how the new areas - cave and such - feel so far away from each other. Why not have a farm with extensions that you can slowly upgrade? And why not have plots closer together (or have them be EXPANDABLE, really)?

No, for me the game feels far from being close to finished, it feels empty and it feels like the developer is trying to coast along on the success of part 1. There's hardly any innovation, and why not somehow tie it in a bit more with part 1, as in being able to visit your former ranch or something (and see it in ruins, I dunno).

I was so happy with SR1 and I played it so much in early access, but this game... meh. I played it, and now I'm waiting for it be finished.

So, we should play the game outside?
That sounds interesting.

Man, well say, i'm agreeing with you on the new resource collecting. They have to change it to extractors however
