Should I buy slime rancher 2 on steam or epic?

Hi folks,

Is there a reason to buy slime rancher 2 on steam compared to epic?

One reason I can think of is the steam workshop. Will mods continue to be on nexus mods, or will they lock it down to steam workshop?

This game won't ever have a steam workshop. The mods for the game require their own loader to use. The game would need built in modding support for a steam workshop to make sense. But unless Epic has it for cheaper than on steam, or has it free, there's no point in getting it on epic. I don't see why you should have to install a whole new game platform on your PC just for this game.
