So they don't spawn when the chickens spawn? Do they spawn when they slimes spawn?
But anyway. Gameweek. Running around throwing all slimes into the ocean. No luck. Well, technically, a Lucky. And a Gold, too. But I would have them appear earlier, and without genocide.
I took your advice, stopped caring about the chickens and ran through the map after tarr outbreaks and slept to reset the areas. I now have three Yolky slimes.
the yolkys spawn from chicken nodes and as a result do care about if that node is spawning anything. I don't have the exact numbers for the time delay between these spawns however, but this does put a cap on the number of spawn chances per ingame day yolkys get unlike things like gold slimes.
They do seem to be counted as slimes as you described however, and you did perfectly describe how to deal with that problem. And this is the biggest piece of advice people can give for the matter.
different cells have different population limits, with a difference between the "i'll start spawning" threshold and "i'll stop spawning", if we go based on the game's code at least and its a bit i was able to tweak and verify how it worked. So that much i can garuntee is something to exist.
